BRIEF → GET CITED → AI ANSWERS → PAGE AUDIT

The SEO content brief that gets you ranked and quoted.

Enter a keyword. In under 30 seconds Ranklet writes a research-backed brief from the live Google top 10 – then shows you how to make the article quotable, what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answer today, and how citable the page is once it's live.

How it works

One keyword. Four tabs. Each one hands off to the next.

Search is splitting into ten blue links and one generated answer with a handful of sources. Every brief in Ranklet is a short workflow that covers both.

  1. 01 Plan Brief tab Turn a keyword into a full SEO brief from the live top 10.
  2. 02 Write Get Cited tab Get the answer, questions, figures and schema that make it quotable.
  3. 03 Compete AI Answers tab See what AI engines answer today and who they cite instead of you.
  4. 04 Check Page Audit tab Score the published page and fix what stops AI from quoting it.

Features

STEP 1 · PLAN · BRIEF

A research-backed SEO brief in under 30 seconds

Enter a keyword. Ranklet reads the live top-10 Google results, People Also Ask and related searches, then writes the brief your writer starts from: search intent, audience, outline with guidance, titles, meta, keywords, E-E-A-T signals and a differentiation angle.

  • Live SERP data at generation time, not training-data averages
  • 7 well structured sections, copied as clean Markdown or PDF
  • Word-count range calibrated to the current top 10

STEP 2 · WRITE · GET CITED

Write the article so AI assistants can quote it

Generative engine optimisation, done as writing instructions. Get Cited gives you the opening answer, the questions to cover, figures worth citing with their sources, the entities to name and a ready FAQPage JSON-LD – the raw material that makes a page quotable, not a checklist to run afterwards.

  • An answer-first paragraph ready to paste under the H1
  • Attributed statistics and quotable claims, with sources to verify
  • FAQ schema generated for you

STEP 3 · COMPETE · AI ANSWERS

See what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answer today

Before you publish, see the answer each engine gives for your keyword and which sites it cites to give it. Those sites are your real competition for the answer – and they're often not the ones ranking in Google. Ranklet turns the gap between their coverage and your outline into concrete additions.

  • Cited domains ranked by mentions, and whether yours is one
  • What the answers cover that your outline doesn't yet
  • Re-run after publishing to watch the needle move

STEP 4 · CHECK · PAGE AUDIT

Check how quotable the live page really is

Paste the published URL and get a Citability Score out of 100 – ten checks covering what AI engines need to find, read and quote a page: crawler access, an answer-first block, attributed statistics, schema, a visible date. Every failing check comes with the fix, as a task list your writer can act on.

  • Whether AI crawlers can read the page at all
  • Pass or fail on every check, with the fix spelled out
  • Re-audit the same URL free after you fix it

FAQ

Common questions

If you don't see your question here, email [email protected]. We read every message.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT for a content brief?

ChatGPT writes a brief from its training data. It doesn't know what's ranking for your keyword right now, or what it would itself answer. Ranklet pulls the live top-10 Google results at generation time, and – on the AI Answers tab – asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini the question and records which sites they cite. The brief is grounded in what works today for your keyword. For a deeper look at the tradeoffs, see when AI content briefs help and where they don't.

What is GEO, and how is the Get Cited tab different from the brief?

Generative engine optimisation is writing so that AI assistants quote your page when they answer a question. The brief tells you what to write to rank in Google; Get Cited tells you how to write it so it's quotable: an answer-first opening, questions to cover, figures with sources, entities to name and FAQ schema. You use both while drafting. It matters because fewer searches end in a click: in a Pew Research Center study of 68,879 Google searches, people who saw an AI summary clicked a traditional result in 8% of visits, against 15% when there was none.

Where does the SERP data come from?

Live Google search results, pulled fresh at the moment your brief is generated: top ranking pages plus People Also Ask and related searches. No scraping, no cached snapshots. Ranking still matters for AI answers, but it isn't the whole story: an Ahrefs study of 863,000 keyword results found that 38% of AI Overview citations come from pages in Google's top 10, which is why Ranklet also checks what the engines themselves cite. Learn more in what SERP analysis is and why it shapes every brief.

What does the Citability Score measure?

Ten checks on a published page, covering what AI engines need to find, read and quote it: crawler access, an answer-first block, attributed statistics, structured data, a visible last-updated date and more. It's not a general SEO audit, and it reads the live page a crawler receives – so it can't score a draft. The checks follow the research: the Princeton-led GEO study found that methods like adding statistics and citing sources can boost a page's visibility in generative engine responses by up to 40%.

Can I use the output for client work, and do you train AI on it?

Yes, and no. You own everything Ranklet generates for you: resell it, hand it to writers, export the audit as a client-ready PDF. We retain no licence on the output beyond what's needed to operate the service. The AI provider we use does not train on data sent through their API by default. We don't share keywords, briefs or audit URLs with anyone else, and we don't sell data. For the full list of subprocessors we rely on, see our Privacy Policy.

What happens when I hit a monthly limit, and can I cancel?

Briefs: buy an overage pack ($9 for 10) on any paid plan, or wait for the reset. AI Answer Snapshots and Citability Audits reset monthly with your plan; re-auditing the same URL doesn't use an allowance. On Free, the one AI Answer Snapshot and one Citability Audit are a one-time trial and don't reset. You can cancel any time from your billing page: you keep access until the current billing period ends, then drop to the Free plan.
